iphone 5s, ipad 5 Rumor to release 29th june confirmed
According to the latest rumor, Apple's supply chain will start shipping the components for the iPhone 5S at the end of May, so the next generation smartphone will likely have a chance of showing up in the third quarter, reports Digitimes .
The site also mentions that "Foxconn Electronics chairman Terry Guo previously noted that the company's performance will start picking up after April or May; however, Foxconn declined to comment about its clients when asked about iPhone orders."
This new information comes after Gizmorati reported yesterday that according to an Apple inside source, "iPhone 5S and the iPad 5 will be unveiled during a special event called ‘Original Passion, New Ideas’, on June 29, 2013." The event has the purpose to "reconquer the public and reassure the investors".
The analysts predict that Apple will ship between 25 and 30 million iPhone 5S, down from 45 million units in the fourth quarter of 2012. Regarding the specifications it is believed that iPhone 5S will feature a higher-end processor and a higher-megapixel camera (at least 12-megapixels). Other recent reports say the iPhone 5S may come equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
It remains to be seen if Apple will release some official clues about the launch date.
